General terms and conditions of sale

Balourou Lodges
The present conditions are applicable to all sales concluded with LES LODGES BALOUROU 6836 route des Plages 97354 REMIRE MONTJOLY (French Guyana). The customer hereby acknowledges that he/she has read these terms and conditions of sale and agrees to abide by them. These terms and conditions of sale may be modified at any time, and the terms and conditions applicable will be those in force on the date of reservation. L'Hébergeur is at liberty not to accept customers whose dress is indecent or negligent, customers whose behaviour is noisy or incorrect, or those whose behaviour is contrary to public morality or order.

Article 1 - Rates

Rates are quoted in euros and include tourist tax applicable on the day of booking.
Rates are per lodge and per night for the number of people indicated, excluding options.

Article 2 - Reservation and payment methods

Reservations can be made by e-mail: contact@balourou.com, on the www.balourou.com website, via the Booking website or on site.
A reservation is an order for a commercial service from an establishment, so any reservation made must be paid for by the customer or his company. Unless otherwise agreed, reservations will only be effective and guaranteed if they have been paid for, either by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) within the framework of a distance selling transaction (VAD) no later than 15 days before the customer's arrival. Or by bank transfer, gift voucher, on site and after receipt of a detailed booking confirmation.
Payment for all services must be made directly to the establishment no later than 15 days before arrival (exceptions made for bookings for which a purchase order has been issued by their company). For bookings with an arrival date of less than 15 days, payment will be received immediately.
Payments by bank transfer must be received no later than 15 days before arrival. Failing this, we will proceed with collection by means of the credit card imprint provided.
If payment is not received, we may cancel the booking without having to call the customer back.
The establishment reserves the right to cancel any booking that is incomplete
In all cases, a credit card imprint will be requested. In the absence of this information, we will be obliged not to accept your rental request.
In the event of deferred payment, the payment deadline will not exceed 30 days; Failing this, penalties equal to 1.5 times the legal interest rate will be added to the sums due, as well as a flat-rate indemnity of €40 for collection costs. This indemnity will be payable by the customer, ipso jure and without formality (Art D441-5 of the French Commercial Code).

Article 3 - Reservation and deposit

For stays longer than 7 days, we require a 30% deposit at the time of booking. In all cases, a credit card imprint will be required.

Article 4 - Modification and cancellation of the stay

Any modification or cancellation of a reservation must be requested by e-mail to: contact@balourou.com
The request will only become effective on receipt of a written reply from the establishment.

INTERRUPTION OF STAY

No refunds will be made. Similarly, in the event of early departure, the stay is due in full. No refunds will be made for late arrivals.

CANCELLATION OF STAY

Cancellations made up to 15 days before the date of arrival are free of charge.
Cancellations made less than 15 days before the date of arrival will be billed in full.

NO SHOW is considered as the actual taking of the lodge and is due in full.
- For any refund, any bank commission will be charged to the customer.
Any extension of the stay must be requested from the accommodation provider and will only be effective after receipt of a confirmation e-mail and payment.

Article 5 - Organization of the reservation and services

Lodges are available to guests from 1 pm / 12.30 pm (subject to availability).
Guests must vacate the lodge by 11 am at the latest, with the exception of late departures. Exceeding this deadline may result in the invoicing of an additional night's stay.
However, in the event of a new rental in the same room, the establishment reserves the right to remove the customer's personal belongings and deposit them at reception in order to prepare for the new arrival. For safety reasons, lodges are rented for a specific number of people. Additional guests are not permitted. All visitors are forbidden in the establishment. Arrivals and departures are arranged with the customer. Smoking has been banned in all public places since January 02, 2008. In fact, smoking is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in lodges for obvious safety and comfort reasons. Failure to comply will incur a penalty of 100 euros per stay to restore the lodge to its original state.
It is forbidden to use gas appliances (e.g. stoves, etc.) or candles in the lodges.
Pets are not allowed on the premises.
The use of the swimming pool area is strictly limited to guests, from 07:00 to 21:00.
The swimming pool is not supervised and children remain under the sole responsibility of their parents or an adult designated by them for this purpose.
For reasons of hygiene and safety, and for the comfort and respect of all, it is compulsory to use the shower and footbath.
It is forbidden to smoke, eat, drink alcohol, spit, heckle, run, play ball, dive, etc.
Similarly, the establishment cannot be held responsible for any accidents occurring on the site. Parents are entirely responsible for supervising their children, and lodges must be locked during your absence and at night. We decline all responsibility in the event of theft or disappearance if this rule is not applied.
The customer accepts and undertakes to use the lodge and the entire site with due care and respect. In the event of damage to or disappearance of property, the customer will be billed for the cost of repairing or replacing the damage.
In the event of loss or breakage of a key or remote control, the cost of replacement will be billed at the current rate.
These charges will be settled by means of the credit card imprint provided by the customer, without the need to obtain the customer's agreement.
Similarly, decorating the rented space is forbidden, unless expressly authorized by Le Balourou. In all cases, it is forbidden to stick anything on the walls, windows, etc. The use of glitter, candles and smoke bombs is forbidden, as is anything that could damage or deteriorate the infrastructure. To respect the rest of all customers, please be careful not to make any noise, especially between 10.00 pm and 8.00 am.
Any neighbourhood noise caused by the behaviour of the customer or a person under his or her responsibility may result in the Hirer inviting the customer to leave the Establishment without the need for acoustic measurements, provided that the noise generated is of such a nature as to disturb the peace and quiet of customers (art R1334-30 and R1334-31 of the French Public Health Code).
The use of portable loudspeakers or any other equipment for the diffusion of music is forbidden on the entire site.
Any behavior contrary to public decency and public order will lead the manager to ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation and/or without any reimbursement if payment has already been made.

Article 6 - Complaints

All complaints must be sent to LODGES BALOUROU by registered letter with return receipt, within 7 days of the departure of the holiday that is the subject of the complaint. After this period, no complaint can be taken into account.

Article 7 - Data processing and freedom

LES LODGES BALOUROU has a video surveillance system in the common areas of the building and parking lot. Recordings are kept for 30 days.

Article 8 - Liability

LES LODGES BALOUROU declines all responsibility in the event of theft, loss or damage to guests' belongings during their stay.

The customer will be held responsible for any damage, deterioration or act of vandalism that may occur as a result of occupancy of the premises and/or as a result of participants and/or persons in the customer's care, to movable, decorative and immovable property belonging or not belonging to the tourist residence.

As a result, LES LODGES BALOUROU may ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation or refund of the current stay, and to reimburse any damage caused by such acts.

Article 9 - Applicable Law

The present General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. This applies to both substantive and formal rules. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
The General and Special Conditions, as well as the house rules, apply to all bookings. Any stay implies their unconditional acceptance.

‍In theevent of non-compliance by the customer with any of these provisions, the Lodging House will be obliged to invite the customer to leave the establishment without compensation.
